Li Auto’s insurance registrations last week were 5,300, while Xpeng reported 1,400 registrations. China’s major electric vehicle (EV) makers experienced a decline in vehicle insurance registrations last week due to the Labor Day holiday impacting workdays. Nio saw 3,600 insurance registrations, with Li Auto reporting a decrease from 7,060 to 5,300 registrations. Xpeng reported 1,400 registrations, while Tesla’s numbers decreased to 11,000. BYD accounted for 52,600 insurance registrations, and Xiaomi recorded 1,300 registrations. Additionally, Zeekr, Leapmotor, and Huawei-backed Aito reported 3,600, 2,300, and 4,800 registrations, respectively. This data reflects the current trends in the Chinese EV Market, with companies like Nio and Li Auto continuing to deliver new vehicles and introduce innovative models.
