Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Pune, Maharashtra, to launch and lay the foundation for various projects worth over 22,600 crore rupees. A highlight of his visit will be the inauguration of the Metro train service, connecting the district court to Swargate in Pune. In a strong push for self-reliance in supercomputing, Modi will dedicate three PARAM Rudra supercomputers, developed under the National Supercomputing Mission, to advance scientific research. Additionally, he will unveil a high-performance computing system for weather and climate research, which is part of an 850 crore rupees investment aimed at enhancing India’s meteorological capabilities. This visit underscores the government’s commitment to advancing technology and infrastructure in India.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Pune, Maharashtra today, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for a number of significant projects worth more than 22,600 crore rupees. One of the key highlights of his visit is the launch of the Metro train service that will connect the district court to Swargate in Pune.

In a major step towards self-reliance in supercomputing technology, Modi will also unveil three PARAM Rudra supercomputers, valued at around 130 crore rupees. Developed under the National Supercomputing Mission, these supercomputers have been installed in Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, and are aimed at boosting scientific research in India.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a high-performance computing system designed specifically for weather and climate research, representing an investment of 850 crore rupees. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance India’s computing capabilities in monitoring and understanding meteorological patterns.
