Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his election campaign in Jammu and Kashmir, criticizing the Congress, National Conference, and PDP for their role in the region’s challenges. Speaking in Doda, he claimed these political dynasties have caused corruption and fostered terrorism, saying they created an unsafe environment for residents. He highlighted improvements in the area over the past decade, stating that terrorism is waning. He also noted the importance of education and announced new initiatives, including schools and a recently established medical college in Doda, aiming for a brighter future for the youth in the region.

Elections in Jammu and Kashmir are set to occur in three phases, starting from September 18, with the counting of votes on October 8. Modi assured voters that the BJP government prioritizes their rights and is committed to restoring statehood to the region. He highlighted the diminishing presence of terrorism in the area, contrasting it with previous times when fear pervaded the region.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of youth leadership and democratic processes in Jammu and Kashmir since the BJP came to power in 2014. He noted significant advancements in education and infrastructure, mentioning that new schools, colleges, and a long-demanded medical college in Doda have been established to benefit the local youth. Modi’s message is clear: Jammu and Kashmir deserves a safer and more prosperous future.
