This campaign, taking place from September 15 to October 31, 2024, focuses on creating sustainable workplaces and clearing pending matters from various governmental bodies. It builds on previous efforts, having already resolved numerous references and public grievances over the past months. The campaign is closely monitored at high levels, with the involvement of Central Armed Police Forces to achieve optimal results. Additionally, an intra-Ministry portal has been established to streamline data sharing and coordination. This initiative reflects a significant move towards better governance and public service.

Vinod Bhat Reports: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is gearing up for Special Campaign 4.0, a significant initiative inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for cleanliness and efficiency in government. Guided by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, this campaign consists of two key phases: the Preparation Phase from September 15 to 30, 2024, and the Implementation Phase from October 2 to 31, 2024. Organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), this campaign aims to create sustainable and eco-friendly workplaces while addressing pending cases from Members of Parliament, State Governments, and public grievances.

The MHA is closely monitoring the progress of Special Campaign 4.0, emphasizing its importance across Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Central Police Organizations (CPOs). Following the success of Special Campaign 3.0, the ministry has actively worked to reduce pending matters from November 2023 through August 2024. During this time, they successfully resolved 352 MP references, 10 Parliamentary assurances, and 40,894 public grievances.

In addition, the ministry has conducted 4,613 cleanliness campaigns at various locations, focusing particularly on field offices that interact with the public. Notably, they have cleared out 104,483 sq. ft. of office space, promoting a more organized environment. To enhance efficiency, an intra-ministry portal has been developed, enabling divisions within the ministry to share data seamlessly, ensuring accurate tracking of campaign progress.

This commitment underscores the MHA’s dedication to improving governance and public service delivery while aligning with the nation’s cleanliness drive. As the campaign unfolds, it is expected to set a benchmark for accountability and environmental responsibility in government operations.
