Cryptocurrency Wallet Integrated into Telegram Messenger
A cryptocurrency wallet based on The Open Network (TON Space) has been integrated into the Telegram messenger – from November 800 million users of the application will be able to use it, simply select it in the settings.

Open Network Technology
Open Network technology developed by Telegram developers is a decentralized computer network. Telegram wallet users have access to TON Space starting today, and the new feature will be released in November for Telegram users around the world – with the exception of the USA and a number of other countries where there are legal hurdles.
Reason for Stopped Development
The Telegram team has stopped developing the TON blockchain after spending two years on it. The reason for this difficult decision was a lawsuit from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – the agency did not like the fact that the platform administration took $1.7 billion in the initial issuance of Gram cryptocurrency coins, where officials saw signs of securities. Telegram had to return all funds to investors and pay a penalty of $18.5 million. Therefore, TON has existed as an open source project supported by enthusiasts since 2020.
Wallet Pay Service
In July, the Wallet Pay service added the ability to accept cryptocurrency payments via Telegram: Bitcoin and stablecoin USDT are supported and can be integrated into any messenger bot.
