India’s Presidency Bolsters Global Consensus on Crypto Asset Regulations

The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that India’s presidency has bolstered the international drive for transparent policies regarding crypto assets, fostering a growing global consensus.
G20 Members to Discuss Crypto Asset Regulations
On being asked about Cryptocurrency, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says, “The FSP’s report has concentrated more on regulation and IMF has looked at the macroeconomic implications. So, G20 members will go through the synthesis paper in detail, there is one more meeting under our presidency for the finance track in Marrakesh…there the FSP and IMF reports will be discussed. So it is up to G20 membership to take a call on how it wants to move forward on it (Crypto)…”
