Revolt Motors has launched its first electric motorcycle, the RV1, priced at an introductory cost of Rs 84,990. This comes after competition from Ola Electric’s Roadster series, which starts at Rs 74,999. The RV1 is available in two battery options, offering a range of up to 160 km. Additionally, a premium variant, the RV1+, is priced at Rs 99,990. With this launch, Revolt aims to expand its lineup, introducing new models annually for the next five years. The company has set a goal to sell 15,000 units of the RV1 series by Diwali, focusing on affordable electric motorcycles while ensuring high quality and safety standards in their products.

Haryana-based Revolt Motors has unveiled its latest electric motorcycle, the RV1, at an attractive introductory price of Rs 84,990. This launch comes on the heels of Ola Electric’s new Roadster series e-bike, which starts at Rs 74,999, marking a significant price cut in the electric motorcycle Market. The previous lowest price for e-motorcycles was Rs 1,10,000, making the RV1 a compelling option for consumers looking for affordable electric transportation.

Revolt Motors also offers a premium version, the RV1+, priced at Rs 99,990. The RV1 comes with two battery options: a 2.2 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 100 km, and a more powerful 3.24 kWh battery, which can go up to 160 km on a single charge. This launch is part of Revolt’s strategy to expand its lineup, which already includes the RV400 and RV400 BRZ models.

The company plans to introduce a new product every year for the next five years, as stated by Anjali Rattan, chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited. Currently, Revolt Motors is a leader in the electric motorcycle segment, having sold nearly 4,900 units as of mid-August 2024, amid competition from approximately 200 players in the electric two-wheeler Market.

Deliveries of the RV1 series are set to begin on September 23, with the company targeting sales of 15,000 units by Diwali. Revolt intends to focus primarily on affordable and mid-range motorcycles, avoiding the premium Market, which they consider limited. The company boasts a production capacity of 13,500 units monthly, and while they currently do not offer electric scooters, they may explore that segment if demand arises.

Revolt Motors prioritizes technology and quality, with safety concerns in the electric bike sector. They source batteries from China’s Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, known for its reliability. Owned by RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, Revolt Motors is committed to revolutionizing the electric vehicle landscape in India.
