The Adani Group is making significant moves in its international business strategy. Recently, the conglomerate formed a new subsidiary in Shanghai, China, named Adani Energy Resources (Shanghai) Co. (AERCL). This company will focus on providing supply chain solutions and project management services, according to a regulatory filing. The new subsidiary was established by Adani Global Pte, a step-down subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, the group’s flagship firm.

This news comes on the heels of Adani Enterprise’s recent expansion into Kenya, where they set up a new subsidiary called Airports Infrastructure PLC. The goal of this company is to maintain and manage airports in Kenya, which includes a proposal to invest $750 million into upgrading Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Adani aims to enhance airport infrastructure in the region, marking its first international airport operation outside India.

Currently, Adani Group operates seven airports in India and is actively seeking new opportunities overseas. The expansion into China and Kenya showcases Adani’s global ambitions and commitment to becoming a major player in the infrastructure space.

With AERCL yet to commence operations, and discussions continuing with the Kenyan government, the future looks promising for Adani as they broaden their horizons in the international Market.
