AI Solutions Powering Urban Resilience and Sustainability
The world is rapidly urbanizing, and by 2050, around 68 percent of people will live in cities, according to UN Habitat. Urbanization brings challenges but also opportunities for social innovation and economic growth. Leading the charge is IBM, which recently launched a request for proposals (RFP) to enhance urban resilience and sustainability, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
With more than 100 proposals submitted, IBM has chosen five organizations for the IBM Sustainability Accelerator program. This initiative aims to engage with communities and develop AI-driven solutions that address urban challenges.
