Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of holding a secret meeting where he directed BJP leaders to undermine the opposition, specifically targeting Thackeray and NCP leader Sharad Pawar. Thackeray emphasized the public’s role in shaping their political futures, asserting that the BJP’s attempts to weaken opposition parties seem aimed at facilitating political corruption in Maharashtra. He highlighted the significance of upcoming elections and urged voters to support the Maha Vikas Aghadi in all six assembly segments of the Ramtek constituency. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has yet to announce the election dates for Maharashtra’s legislative assembly polls. This development comes as political tension in the state escalates.

Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), made some surprising claims recently about Union Home Minister Amit Shah. According to Thackeray, during a private meeting held in Nagpur, Shah instructed BJP leaders to disrupt the opposition and politically target him as well as Sharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Thackeray stated that the people, not the BJP, will decide his political future.

While speaking after unveiling a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Ramtek, Thackeray criticized Shah for allegedly making these statements behind closed doors. He questioned Shah’s intentions, suggesting that the BJP aims to gain more control over Maharashtra’s political landscape. Thackeray recalled that even after the BJP ended its long-standing alliance with Shiv Sena in 2014, his party successfully won 63 seats in the assembly elections.

Thackeray also raised concerns about whether the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, Mohan Bhagwat, supported the BJP’s tactics of undermining opposition parties. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming elections to safeguard Maharashtra from potential exploitation and encouraged voters to support the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in the upcoming assembly elections.

The Election Commission of India is yet to announce the election dates for the 288 constituencies in Maharashtra, and a recent delegation from the Commission met with various political stakeholders to discuss the timing of these elections, particularly considering significant upcoming festivals like Diwali.
