Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed his deep concern about the poor state of roads in Delhi. On Friday, he wrote to the current Chief Minister, Atishi, urging her to prioritize road repairs. Kejriwal noted that during his recent inspections, he found the roads in worse condition than before his incarceration, blaming a lack of maintenance. He promised that repairs would begin immediately to ensure smooth travel for residents. Meanwhile, the BJP’s Delhi president criticized Kejriwal’s actions as desperate theatrics to distract from ongoing issues, pointing out that he had been in charge for nearly a decade while the road infrastructure declined.

Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has raised alarms about the “pathetic condition” of roads in Delhi. In a recent letter to the current Chief Minister, Atishi, he urged her to initiate repair work urgently. He read the letter in the Assembly after spending two days inspecting the roads alongside Atishi.

Kejriwal noted that the roads were in better shape before his incarceration, implying that ongoing maintenance was neglected in his absence. He stressed the importance of taking immediate action to repair all damaged roads so that Delhi residents would not face difficulties.

In response to Kejriwal’s actions, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized him, claiming that the former CM was not mentally stable and was merely trying to distract the public from real issues in the city. Sachdeva found it surprising that Kejriwal, who led the city for nearly a decade, is now expressing concern about road conditions.

This ongoing dispute highlights the challenges faced by Delhi officials as they navigate public expectations and infrastructure management. As the situation develops, residents hope to see prompt action to improve their daily commutes.
