After the BJP’s defeat in Ayodhya during the recent Lok Sabha elections, the upcoming by-election for the Milkipur Assembly seat is gaining significance, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath making his third visit to the region in a month. During this visit, he launched a series of development projects worth Rs 1,000 crore under “Mission Milkipur” and criticized Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s stance on Hindu festivals. Adityanath claimed the SP had an anti-Hindu mindset and condemned their alleged previous actions against cultural celebrations. He also emphasized his administration’s achievements in housing and welfare schemes for the community. The political landscape is heating up as both parties prepare for this crucial election.

After the BJP’s shocking loss in Ayodhya during the Lok Sabha elections earlier this June, the upcoming by-election for the Milkipur Assembly seat is shaping into a crucial contest for the party. In a display of commitment, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Milkipur for the third time in a month, aggressively targeting Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav.

During his visit, Adityanath laid foundation stones and inaugurated a staggering 83 projects worth Rs 1,000 crore as part of the “Mission Milkipur.” He also took the opportunity to distribute cheques, keys, and sewing machines to beneficiaries, showcasing the government’s efforts to uplift the local community.

While addressing a rally, Adityanath took aim at Yadav, referring to him as “babua” and accusing the SP of having an anti-Hindu stance. He claimed that festivals like Deepotsav in Ayodhya symbolize hope and strength, much to the discomfort of those opposed to Hindu celebrations. Adityanath stated that the SP’s political ideology clashes with the essence of these festivals, suggesting a deeper ideological divide.

In an interesting turn, he also emphasized the importance of providing quality food to the public, joking about avoiding “rotis with spit” and ensuring that people in Gorakhpur would receive pure offerings in new ventures, like the floating hotel he inaugurated.

As the Milkipur by-election approaches, all eyes are on the campaigning strategies of both the BJP and SP, as they vie for voter support in this politically charged atmosphere. The outcome could have significant implications for both parties ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
