Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a rally in Loharu, Haryana, ahead of the upcoming October 5 elections. Shah accused Gandhi of politicizing the Agnipath military recruitment scheme, asserting that the Congress party has failed to implement necessary defense reforms such as the One Rank One Pension initiative. He emphasized that while the Agniveer scheme has become a reality under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Gandhi continues to engage in political games.

Shah further suggested that both Rahul Gandhi and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah have a hidden agenda to release terrorists post-elections and seek dialogue with Pakistan. He reassured the youth of Haryana that Agniveers would receive employment opportunities, countering claims made by his opponents. Shah’s remarks were made in support of the BJP’s candidate, J P Dalal, and were shared with several prominent party leaders present at the event.

This rally marks an important moment in the political landscape of Haryana, as the BJP seeks to reaffirm its stance on national security and youth employment amidst growing tension over defense reforms.
