Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the BJP government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, vowing never to allow Article 370 to return. While campaigning for assembly elections, he criticized opposition parties like NC, PDP, and Congress for allegedly fostering terrorism in the region. Shah urged voters to reject the political dynasties of the Abdullahs, Gandhis, and Muftis, claiming that their governance allowed terrorism to thrive. He promised job opportunities for youth and declared that jails are ready for those involved in violence. Addressing concerns about safety in Kashmir, he reassured that the region is secure and urged former Congress leaders to support their claims by visiting confidently.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently held three election rallies in Jammu as part of the final campaigns for the upcoming assembly elections on September 18. During these rallies, he made strong statements about the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that the BJP-led central government intends to permanently eradicate terrorism in the region.

Shah accused local political parties, including the National Conference, PDP, and Congress, of wanting to release terrorists and stone-pelters, potentially throwing Jammu and Kashmir back into chaos. He firmly stated that there will be no negotiations or trade with Pakistan until terrorism is fully eliminated. He directed his appeal to voters, urging them to reject the political “dynasties” of prominent families like the Abdullahs and Gandhis, asserting that terrorism has thrived under their leadership.

A significant part of Shah’s speech was dedicated to job creation for the youth, emphasizing that his government would provide opportunities for those pursuing education and advancement, represented symbolically by holding laptops and the national tricolor. In a direct warning, he announced that “jails are ready” for those who choose violence.

Shah also took jabs at opposition leaders, reiterating that incidents of terrorism would not be tolerated and aimed to instill confidence in the local populace by highlighting the improved security landscape in Kashmir. He referred to other significant political moments, drawing parallels to the past to demonstrate how much the situation has transformed under the current government.

As the first phase of assembly elections approaches, Shah’s words reflect a campaign focused on national security and economic opportunity, seeking to reassure residents of Jammu and Kashmir about the government’s commitment to both stability and growth in the region.
