JetBlue has announced a major network shake-up, with plans to double down on Puerto Rico, expand Mint-equipped jets in North America, and scale back its winter Europe offerings. The carrier will add six new destinations from San Juan, including nonstops to the East Coast, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America.

The airline is cutting seven routes and pulling out of the Mexico Market entirely. Among the changes, JetBlue will launch new routes from San Juan to Rhode Island, New York, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These additions will increase its total destinations from Puerto Rico to 18.

In addition to its San Juan expansion, JetBlue also revealed plans for new flights to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Bonaire from New York’s JFK Airport. The airline’s focus on leisure travel aligns with its strategy to improve profitability.

However, not all news is positive for JetBlue flyers. The carrier will reduce service from LaGuardia Airport, cutting four routes and decreasing frequency on three others. It will also scale back its winter Europe service by halting flights to London Gatwick and reducing service to Paris.

On a more positive note, JetBlue will deploy its Mint service on six new routes within the U.S. This move comes as the airline aims to optimize its operations and enhance customer experience. Despite these changes, JetBlue remains committed to delivering quality service and expanding its network to meet evolving customer demands.
